Chelsea are interested in signing Federico Valverde from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to Defensa Central. The report has claimed that new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has told his bosses to get a deal done for Valverde.
Former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea could now make an offer of €100 million (£86 million), and the bid could even raise it to €120 million (£103 million). However, Madrid do not want to sell Valverde, and the Uruguay international himself do not want to leave Los Blancos.
Valverde is one of the best players on the books of Madrid at the moment. The 24-year-old can operate in central midfield or on the right wing. Valverde made 29 starts and five substitute appearances in La Liga for Madrid last season. The star scored seven goals and gave four assists in those games
