Mauricio Pochettino wants Ivan Toney at Chelsea

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign Ivan Toney from London and Premier League rivals Brentford in the January transfer window, according to London World. The report has claimed that former Tottenham Hotspur head coach Pochettino has told club co-owner Todd Boehly to bring Toney to Stamford Bridge in the middle of the season.

According to LondonWorld, “Toney is Pochettino’s ideal choice as he is English, at the right age and proven in the Premier League”. Toney is serving a ban at the moment and will not be available to play until January 2024. The England international striker has made 68 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. Toney has scored 32 goals and given nine assists in those games.

Chelsea are 12th in the Premier League table at the moment with four points from four matches, just three points above the relegation zone and six points behind fourth-placed and London rivals West Ham United.
