Palermo defender Mauro Cetto has joined Lille on loan until the rest of the season, the French club have revealed.
Les Dogues announced the deal on their official website, stating that the player joined the club on a six-month loan after passing a medical at Stade Lille Metropole.
The Ligue 1 champions have an option to make the transfer permanent an the end of the season.
The 29-year-old arrives to Lille as a replacement for Marko Basa, who is set to miss next three months with a shoulder injury.
Cetto already has plenty of Ligue 1 experienced, having played for Nantes and Toulouse in France before joining Palermo last summer.
The Argentine started the season as a first team regular at Renzo Barbera, but eventually lost his starting berth and has now decided to return to France.
Cetto has featured in 7 Serie A games this season, starting six of them, but failed to register a single goal.
