Growing reports from Italy are claiming Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi has agreed terms to join Serie A champions Juventus in the summer.
Icardi’s fortunes took a dramatic turn over the past week. He was stripped of his captaincy after Inter Milan expressed disappointment of his behaviour over a new deal with the Nerazzurri. The 25-year-old striker is contracted to Inter Milan until 2021 but his wife and agent Wanda Nara has been actively negotiating a new deal.
With talks hitting a roadblock and breaking down, Icardi further on refused to travel to Austria for Inter Milan’s Europa League clash against Rapid Wien.
The latest reports coming from Italy appear to be adding more fuel to the fire by claiming has already struck terms with Juventus.
“I think Inter know Icardi has already an agreement with Juventus,” Italian journalist, Valer De Maggio, told Calciomercato. “Inter are a big club and Marotta is a top director. Remove his captaincy is a big decision and I insist that, for me, Icardi has already reached an agreement with Juventus.”
Icardi moving to Juventus would be another huge statement from the champions who brought Cristiano Ronaldo last year and in the meantime agreed to bring Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal.
