Premier League newcomers Bournemouth have moved one step closer to securing the signature of Saint Etienne hotshot Max-Alain Gradel, according to L’Equipe.
The Cherries have made the former Leeds United starlet their primary target and the latest reports suggest they have agreed a contract with the 27-year-old footballer.
However, they have yet to find an agreement with Saint Etienne, with the two parties too far apart at the moment.
Namely, while les Verts want €10 million for the player who has another two years left on his deal at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, Bournemouth have offered mere €5 million for the player’s services.
Saint Etienne have made it clear that Max Gradel can leave in case of a good offer, but they also want to cash in on the player’s impressive performances from last season.
The winger enjoyed his best campaign with les Verts last term, bagging no fewer than 17 goals in 31 league outings.
