Saint Etienne forward Max-Alain Gradel could be moving to Russia in the winter transfer window, Izvestia has revealed.
Russian Premier League sides have until Thursday to sign new players and several of those are locked in the battle for the Ivorian footballer.
According to Izvestia, Rubin Kazan and Kuban Krasnodar have already opened talks with the highly rated winger.
Gradel’s representative admits that several Russian clubs are interested in his client and that one of them have already made a concrete proposal.
“Several clubs from Russia are really interested in Gradel’s services, but I don’t want to disclose exactly which,” agent Cyrille Timwo Monthe told Izvestia.
“What is more, one Russian club have already made a specific proposal.”
Max Alain-Gradel made a name for himself at Leeds United, where he scored 25 goals in 76 league appearances for the Whites.
He joined Saint Etienne in a €2 million move in the summer of 2011, and quickly developed into an important player at Stade Geoffroy Guichard.
In total, Gradel has scored 9 goals and produced 5 assists in 50 Ligue 1 matches for les Verts.
