Catania forward Maxi Lopez is hoping to make his loan deal at Milan permanent at the end of the season.
The Argentine forward arrived to San Siro on loan from Catania for an initial fee of €1.5 million, and the Rossoneri have the option to buy him outright for another €8 million.
The 28-year-old has had mixed success during his loan spell at Milan, but he is, nonetheless, hoping he will remain at San Siro after his loan deal ends in the summer.
“Milan is a dream for me,” Lopez told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I grew up as a kid with the legend of the Rossoneri.
“I think that I have proved that I can be a part of this squad.”
Former Barcelona forward has mostly been restricted to substitute appearances since arriving to the club, and he managed to score a total of 2 goals in 10 appearances for the Rossoneri.
With Antonio Cassano back from the lengthy spell on the sidelines, it is unlikely that Milan will exercise the option to buy the player outright, although the situation would change in case Alexandre Pato or Robinho leave the club in the summer.
