Catania forward Maxi Lopez is interested in joining Lazio, according to his representative.
The Argentine joined Milan on loan with an option to buy in January, but it seems he hasn’t done enough to persuade the Rossoneri chiefs into activating the clause.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani yesterday confirmed they would not make the player’s loan deal permanent.
The player’s representative reveals the Rossoneri have until 21st June to change their minds, even if that is highly unlikely to happen.
“Milan have the chance to activate the option until June 21,” agent Andrea D’Amico told Radio Sei.
“If that doesn’t happen, then we will seek alternative solutions, seeing as a return to Catania looks improbable.”
The player was recently linked with a move to Lazio and D’Amico admits his client would be more than happy to join the Biancocelesti.
“For now I haven’t had any contact with Lazio for him, but they have my number and we’d be happy to receive a call from their director of sport Igli Tare.”
Maxi Lopez managed to kick-start his career at Catania following unsuccessful spells at Barcelona, Mallorca, FC Moskva and Gremio, but his stint at Milan didn’t prove to be a success.
The Argentine scored just two goals in 11 competitive appearances for the Rossoneri.
