Maxime Gonalons nears AS Roma switch

Radio Monte Carlo has learned that AS Roma are close to completing a deal for Lyon midfielder Maxime Gonalons.

The Giallorossi are in the market for midfield reinforcements as Leandro Paredes is set to join Zenit and Radja Nainggolan could leave as well.

According to Radio Monte Carlo, AS Roma have agreed personal terms with Maxime Gonalons, and are currently speaking to his employers.

Chances are that Lyon will not stand in the way of their long-serving footballer as he looks set to embark on a new challenge, especially since he has just one year left on his contract.

Gonalons, who amassed 242 Ligue 1 appearances for the club since coming through the youth ranks, has long been on the radar of top European clubs, and is finally set to realise a big club move.
