Speaking to the press after his team’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Southampton on Monday, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp mentioned the fact that Manchester United have had a lot of penalties given in the last two seasons. Many of them were questionable, to say the least, while Liverpool had two strong claims rejected against the Saints.
However, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he doesn’t have time for such matters and believes it is a way for his opponents to try and influence refereeing decisions, mentioning Chelsea boss Frank Lampard in that context as well.
