Napoli head coach Walter Mazzarri has insisted his only focus is on Friday’s Serie A trip to Fiorentina.
The Naples-based side have a Champions League round-of-16 encounter with Chelsea coming up on February 22, but for the moment, Mazzarri is concentrating on league commitments.
Napoli have won just one of their last five domestic fixtures and have slipped to seventh on the Serie A table, increasing the importance of their trip to Florence.
“I am only focused on the match against Fiorentina, which is going to be very tough, especially given their recent results at home,” Mazzarri said.
“They have won their last two matches against very good teams, in Siena and Udinese. They have taken 21 points out of a possible 28 at home but only seven in away matches.”
“The team (Fiorentina) is made up of important and skilful players and would deserve to be higher up the table considering their performances at home.”
“I hope all my players will be concentrating and put in a good performance in this difficult match.”
Napoli have not beaten Fiorentina in their last four league encounters.
