Mbappe Denies Di Maria Hat-Trick Chance (Video)

Paris Saint-Germain beat Olympique Marseille in Ligue 1 on Saturday by 3-1. Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring in the last minute of the first half, while Valere Germain equalized in the first minute of the second. A brace from Angel Di Maria made sure the visitors went home empty-handed, but PSG had a chance to score a fourth in the dying moments of the game.

Referee Antony Gautier awarded the home side a late penalty, and apparently a discussion broke out between their two goalscorers about who should take it. Eventually, it was Mbappe who got his way, denying Di Maria a chance for a hat-trick, and he thoroughly embarrassed himself by having his shot saved by Marseille’s backup ‘keeper Yohan Pelle.
