Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer, and not just since Zinedine Zidane returned to the club. Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo left the Santiago Bernabeu for Juventus last year, Real’s struggle to replicate the influence and the threat the Portuguese superstar represented in front of the goal have been sparking rumours about their interest in the young sensational forward.
It has also been reported that Mbappe is considering his future.
Meanwhile, it was clear from the start that any attempt to prize Mbappe away from the Parc Des Princes would cost a fortune, even in terms of clubs like Real Madrid. Quite apart from that, club president Florentino Perez recently dismissed the links, and now Zidane has backed him up on that.
After playing in a charity match in Bordeaux, Real’s head coach was asked about signing Mbappe. His reply, according to Marca, was simple:
“He’s fine where he is”.
