According to a recent report from Marca, Kylian Mbappe has formally asked Paris Saint-Germain to negotiate his move away from the club with Real Madrid.
Real have opened up proceedings with a €160 million offer but as of this writing, PSG are yet to respond.
They may partly be holding out for a better deal or, alternatively, they may be putting the necessary pieces in place to replace Mbappe with someone else – potentially even Cristiano Ronaldo.
Mbappe may not have had the best time at Euro 2020 but he’s still considered to be one of the best players in world football. If he truly wants to be the main man then a switch to Real Madrid makes a whole lot of sense, but given how much fire power PSG are going to have this season, it also makes sense for him to somewhat hold out and see what else is out there.
