Those are the words of Kylian Mbappe during an interview with France Football, as he discussed the possibility of Frenkie de Jong joining Paris Saint-Germain. While that seems like an unlikely move de Jong’s future is still up in the air, with a series of top European clubs registering their interest in bringing him in.
Barcelona are considered to be the favourites to land his signature, as well as de Ligt, but it isn’t going to be that easy. We’re talking about two of the most exciting prospects of this decade – so you just know that it isn’t going to be a case of handing them over.
PSG have the money to make this kind of move happen, but a lot will depend on what kind of restrictions are placed on them over the course of the next few months if they are found to have breached FFP regulations.
