Despite several late attempts by Real Madrid to prize him away this summer, Kylian Mbappe is still a Paris Saint-Germain player. The last of those attempts so far was reportedly an offer of over €200 million, but the Ligue 1 side wouldn’t budge.
Mbappe is now in the final season of his contract at PSG, and the prospect of the club losing his services for free next year has become more realistic than ever. Under those circumstances, their decision not to sell for €200m seems rather strange.
However, PSG obviously don’t have an issue with money, and it seems they will use this season to try and create history by winning the Champions League. With Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar forming their attacking line, it certainly could happen.
And according to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol, PSG are hoping that a successful season may yet convince the 22-year-old Frenchman to sign a new contract. However, Mbappe has already informed them that he has no intention of doing so.
