The 22-year-old AC Milan forward M’Baye Niang refused to make his Watford move permanent after seeing Walter Mazzari leave the Hornets at the end of the season.
French international striker has reportedly informed the club owner Gino Pozzo of his desire to return to Italy, but could end up staying in the Premier League after all since Everton appear to be interested in acquiring his services.
According to the reports from Sportitalia, the Toffees are willing to meet AC Milan’s €18 million valuation of the player and bring him to Goodison during the summer transfer window.
M’Baye Niang’s spell at Watford will be remembered by the striker’s mixed performances during which he went from showcasing his huge potential to completely vanishing from the pitch at times.
His attitude was also questioned as the French forward was accused of putting little to no effort on several occasions.
Niang finished the Premier League season with two goals and two assists next to his name in 16 league matches.
