McEachran confirms Swansea loan

Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran confirmed on Monday he will joining Swansea City on loan until the end of the season.

The promising England Under-21 midfielder will join the Swans on Monday as he aims to gain vital first-team experience, and help cement the Welsh side’s Premier League status.

“I’ve finally found out about my loan! Off to Swansea on monday!!” McEachran posted on Twitter.

Chelsea initially delayed their decision whilst manager Andres Villas-Boas assessed whether or not the youngster would be needed during the latter stages of the season, with Aston Villa also reportedly interest in a short-term deal for the player.

But the England Under-21 international will now join up with former Blues trainee Scott Sinclair at the Liberty Stadium, as they attempt to preserve the Welsh side’s top-flight status in their debut campaign.

McEachran, who made his Chelsea debut in the Champions League in 2010, will be hoping to gain some vital first-team experience as he targets a bright future at Stamford Bridge.
