McLaren took Ince to fill void left by Ibe

Derby County manager Steve McLaren has revealed that he was forced into signing Tom Ince on loan from Hull City after Liverpool recalled fellow winger Jordan Ibe, according to the Express.

Ince, who himself began his career at Anfield, spent a two months on loan at Derby’s East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest at the end of last year, but failed to impress with no goals in six appearances while he has played just nine times for Hull since signing from Blackpool in July.

The 23 year old had been linked with a move to Inter Milan before moving to the KC Stadium, but is now set for a Championship title run in, with Derby currently sitting in second place behind surprise table toppers Bournemouth on goal difference alone.

The Rams host Bolton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon, and can be backed at a price of 1/2 to take all three points.
