(GSM) – Belgian leaders Mechelen dropped their first points of the season, drawing 0-0 with Sint-Truiden while Anderlecht forgot to score against Zulte-Waregem.

Mechelen had won all of their four previous games but could not make a difference in Saturday’s home match with Sint-Truiden.

As a result, the side may be surpassed on Sunday when Genk receive Lierse in an attempt to win their fifth match in a row.

Anderlecht could have taken advantage but failed to do so, as the defending champions from Brussels failed to find the target at home against Zulte.

In general, it was not a productive day in the Belgian Pro League with just five goals scored in five games.
