While battles at both ends of the Premier League table look set to go down to the wire, clubs from across the country will already be planning behind the scenes for what looks set to be a heavyweight summer transfer window.

With some already predicting what could be another record-breaking spend among the Premier League’s elite, there are plenty of England internationals who find growing scrutiny over their long-term futures.
On a list that includes a trio of Gareth Southgate’s key midfield stars, we have taken a look at a few Three Lions superstars who look set for a move this summer.
Declan Rice – West Ham
While West Ham might have punched their Europa Conference League semi-final ticket last month, the Hammers have only continued to show a string of domestic issues this season.
Still firmly looking over their shoulder at the drop zone, many fans around the London Stadium have accepted that midfield talisman Declan Rice will be finally getting his move away this summer.
While David Moyes might have made it clear that they will not be selling their skipper on the cheap, the ex-Chelsea schoolboy has a string of heavyweight admirers from across the Premier League and West Ham know that it will be almost impossible to keep hold of Rice.
Only continuing to cement his spot as one of the Premier League’s standout midfielders this season, the 24-year-old has remained heavily linked with a potential blockbuster move across the capital this summer.
With it suggested that Arsenal are willing to splash in the region of £80million to clinch Rice’s signature ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, the Gunners could still face some major opposition over the coming weeks.
Still one of the top targets on Erik ten Hag’s wishlist this summer, Sky Sports suggested last month that Manchester United are still keeping tabs on Rice’s situation.
Mason Mount – Chelsea
In the midst of what has become a public Premier League nightmare this season and almost destined to settle for a stunning bottom-half finish this season, it is no secret that Chelsea are set for another hectic transfer window behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge.
Shattering a string of financial records as they spent over £600million across the last two transfer windows, the Blues know that they must get a string of first-team superstars off their wage bill this summer.
While there might be constant speculation that the likes of Raheem Sterling could already be heading for the west London exit, it looks almost certain that another England international will be on his way out of SW6.
Yet to put pen to paper on a new deal at Stamford Bridge and soon to enter the final 12 months of his current deal, Mason Mount has reportedly made it clear that he will be seeking a new Premier League adventure this summer.
Although Frank Lampard might have made it clear that he wants Mount to sign a bumper new deal in the capital, the race for the 24-year-old is certainly starting to heat up.
Along with continued speculation that a stunning move to Liverpool could be on the cards when the window reopens, Football Insider reported over the weekend that Manchester City are also a keen admirer of the 36-cap international.
Kalvin Phillips – Manchester City
Although Manchester City might be dreaming of the chance to secure a famous European and domestic double this season, Kalvin Phillips has largely been a spectator since arriving at the Etihad last summer.
While the defending Premier League champions might have shocked many last year as they welcomed the former Leeds midfielder to Manchester in a £45million deal, the England international has failed to make any kind of impact.
Often an unused substitute and firmly sat behind the likes of Rodri in Pep Guardiola’s midfield pecking order, Phillips has the feel of a player that is desperate to kick-start his Premier League career away from the Etihad.
Remarkably still waiting to make a single top-flight start this season and playing just 408 minutes of first-team action, the ex-Leeds ace has also dealt with a host of injury issues on either side of the World Cup’s winter break.
With the Manchester City hierarchy potentially looking to already move Phillips on this summer, it appears that the 27-year-old still has plenty of admirers.
Football Insider reported earlier in the month that a high-flying Aston Villa have their sole attention on bringing Phillips to the Midlands when the window reopens.
