Two sides enduring very different success in this year’s A-League, Melbourne City will host Western Sydney Wanderers to AAMI Park on Tuesday morning.

Starting with Warren Joyce’s Melbourne City side, after putting in another impressive display in their 0-0 draw with runaway A-League leaders Perth last weekend, the mood at AAMI Park will be on a high. Along with holding the best-attacking record in Australia’s top-flight and having their sights set on securing a title push, the former Manchester United reserve boss will be impressed by his sides form on home soil. The Blues have lost just one of their last 10 matches in Melbourne, a run that stems all the way back to March 2018. Also picking up a pair of victories over the Wanderers in their last two matchups, we’re backing Tuesday’s hosts to enjoy another successful morning.

As for Markus Babbel’s Western Sydney side, while the former Bayern Munich defender might have enjoyed his sides start to the new campaign, the Red and Blacks are in desperate need of points after a worrying start to 2019. Coming off the back of a 2-1 defeat at home to Adelaide last time out, the Wanderers have now lost their last five A-League matches on the bounce. Now sat way down in eigth and a top-half push appearing off the cards, it has been defensively where Sydney have struggled this year. Tuesday’s visitors have conceded two or more goals in each of their last seven outings.
