Roma ace Jeremy Menez, who joined the Italian giants for around £10million from Monaco, impressed in his first match for his new club.
The 21 year old highly rated midfielder managed to score seven times in 25 games for Monaco last season.
“Menez has good quality and is a good prospect,” said Roma boss Luciano Spalletti.
“But we have to let him grow as a player and not demand too much of him.”
Roma have also signed Brazilian striker Julio Baptista, Norwegian defender John Arne Riise and Simone Loria this summer.
“I need to adapt to Serie A,” stated Menez.
“I am physically fit but not 100 per cent . I think I will reach that point in a month’s time and Roma know that.”
The 21 year old has been compared to French legend Zinedine Zidane and showed good skills against Napoli on Sunday, just after sealing his move to Roma.
