Real Sociedad could be losing their best centre-back this summer. According to the press in Basque region of Spain, both Liverpool and Everton are interested in Diego Llorente. The 25-year old Spaniard is the target of both Merseyside clubs, Noticias de Gipuzkoa claim.
Their reports say that the Liverpool clubs would have to pay around €30m for Llorente’s signature, which considering the money in Premier League is not that much at all. Llorente has heavily improved this season as part of the Real Sociedad setup and he is currently their top centre-back choice.
Llorente was part of Real Madrid’s youth setup, as he was growing up, before he got his move on loan to Malaga. Upon returning to Santiago Bernabeu, he could not get playing time, but his time at San Sebastian is proving to be fruitful. He is an elegant, modern centre-back with plenty of technical qualities, which would be useful for both Jurgen Klopp and Marco Silva.
