Meulensteen unsure on Taarabt future

Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen has hinted that Fulham may call time on Adel Taarabt’s stay at the club, Sky Sports understands.

The Morocco international moved to Craven Cottage on a season long loan deal from Championship side Queens Park Rangers during the summer, but has started just three Premier League games this season.

Former Manchester United coach Meulensteen only recently replaced fellow Dutchman Matin Jol as manager of the London club, and will spend the festive period assessing his squad, who are currently sitting in the bottom three of the top flight.

He has expressed his admiration for the 24 year old, but is unsure whether he will remain with the club for beyond January.

The Cottagers make the trip to high-flying Everton on Saturday afternoon, looking for a victory that could lift them out of the relegation zone, and can be backed at a price of 8/1 to take all three points.
