Meunier not leaving PSG?

“I could have left but it was not done because there was nothing that suited the club or myself. Nothing was 100 per cent for it to work.

“I have always said that I wanted to stay in Paris. I still have one year on my contract and I still hope an extension can be secured.

“The situation is a little more complicated because I am no longer the preferred choice in my position, but I remain professional.”

Those are the words of Thomas Meunier, who has made it known that he is still interested in staying at Paris Saint-Germain and making a go of it with the club.

Meunier had been heavily linked with a series of clubs, including Arsenal, but now it appears as if he isn’t going to be making that switch after all.

This should, in theory, continue to help PSG go from strength to strength – especially after the summer they’ve had.
