Thomas Meunier of Paris Saint-Germain has added fuel to fire regrading the speculations surrounding his future.
The Belgian spoke to French outlet L’Avenir and revealed his desire to play in the Premier League in the future. Manchester United have recently been credited with serious interest in the fullback, given that neither Ashley Young nor Matteo Darmian have a place in the long-term plans of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, the 27-year-old isn’t just interested in the English top tier. He said that there was interest in him from China too, as well as Middle East. He also stressed that he had never hidden his desire to play in places other than the Parc Des Princes.
Given the situation, the Ligue 1 champions are likely to act and place him on the market now, rather than allow the last 12 months of his contract to start running and risk losing him for free next summer.
