Roma defender Philippe Mexes continues to stall on signing a new deal at Olimpico in the midst of speculations linking him to a number of big European clubs.
His current deal at Roma is set to expire at the end of the season and the club officials are trying to persuade the Frenchman into signing a new contract.
Mexes has been one of the few bright spots in Claudio Ranieri’s side this season, thus attracting interest from a number of clubs, including Milan and Juventus.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that he is unsettled at Roma and is willing to listen to offers, even though the Frenchman will not be involved into the issue.
“For me there are more important things,” Mexes said. “Now I am thinking about Roma. If I hurt myself, for example, everything changes.
“I have to think about many things. I am happy in Rome. I have a calm conscience.”
