(GSM) – Roma defender Philippe Mexes has denied speculations that linked him with Juventus.
The French centre half lost his place to Nicolas Burdisso last season and it was reported Roma were willing to sell Mexes as he only has a year left on his contract.
Speaking at Roma’s training camp in Riscone di Brunico yesterday, Mexes said: “I am telling the fans that I am not going to Juve and that I will never go there.”
Mexes then gave his backing to Roma’s two new players Fabio Simplicio and Adriano.
“They are great signings,” he said. “They will be important for us. I hope that this training camp is positive for both of them.
“The team will help them settle in. The important thing is to live with the group all together so we can work better.”
