Mexes will not join AC Milan

Roma defender Philippe Mexes insists he has no intention of joining AC Milan at the end of the season.

Reports have suggested that AC Milan would make a move for the Frenchman at the end of the season and that Mexes himself was interested in such a move.

But Mexes insists he will be staying with the Giallorossi.

“I will not leave Roma,” Mexes told Il Messagero.

“I would be happy wearing the shirt even if we played in just Serie A. But then if the club wanted to sell me that would be different.”

“We hope to finish in the top four places but there is plenty of hard work to do,” he added.
