Mexico made light work of Panama as they progressed to the final of the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship with a 4-1 semi-final victory.

Awaiting them in the final will be the winner of the match between Costa Rica and host nation Guatemala.

Striker Ulises Davila gave the Mexicans an early lead, finding the back of the net with just 14 minutes gone.

Panama then showed some of the form that got them into the semi-finals, as Javier Caicido grabbed an equaliser just before the half hour.

A spectacular own goal from Oscar Linton then doubled Mexico’s lead just three minutes later, with David Izazola making it 3-1 just before the interval.

The second half was just four minutes old when Edson Rivera put the game beyond doubt as he scored Mexico’s fourth.
