Palermo finished the Serie A season in 16th place to the disappointment of everybody at the club.
Miccoli was subsequently linked with a number of big Italian clubs as well as his hometown club Lecce, but it appears the diminutive forward will be staying at Renzo Barbera after all.
“My objective is to stay at Palermo,” Miccoli told Sky Sport Italia. “I will soon meet with Zamparini and we’ll make the decision together.”
Miccoli has spent last five years at Renzo Barbera and once again he has been the only bright spot in an otherwise disappointing season.
