Portuguese daily newspaper Record has suggested that Benfica are exploring the possibility of signing Toronto FC midfielder Michael Bradley.
The Eagles have already stayed without Andre Gomes, while Nico Gaitan and Enzo Perez could also leave, meaning they are in need of midfield reinforcements.
According to Record, Benfica have made Toronto FC star Michael Bradley one of their primary targets.
The 26-year-old surprised everyone when he decided to leave AS Roma in favour of a return to the MLS back in January, but he has since remained on the radar of Europe’s top clubs.
Bradley has a wealth of European experience having represented Heerenveen, Borussia M’gladbach, Aston Villa, Chievo and AS Roma since leaving MetroStars.
The highly rated midfielder started all four games for USA at the 2014 World Cup, helping his side reach the Last 16 stage. He has so far earned 90 caps for the United States and scored 12 goals in the process.
