Michael Carrick nears Man Utd exit

The Daily Mirror is reporting that veteran midfielder Michael Carrick is on the verge of leaving Old Trafford.

The 36-year-old hasn’t made a single Premier League appearance this season as he is currently behind Nemanja Matic, Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera in the pecking order.

And with his contract set to expire in June, the end of a lengthy spell at Old Trafford appears on the cards. 

According to the Daily Mail, the likes of Aston Villa, Leicester City and West Bromwich are all keen on the former England international.

Michael Carrick has spent last 11 and a half years at Old Trafford, making over 300 Premier League appearances and lifting quite a few major trophies with the Red Devils.
