Michu has is hopeful that Swansea City can secure a loan deal for Liverpool’s Iago Aspas when the transfer window reopens next month, according to Sky Sports.
The Welsh side have held a long-term interest in the Spanish striker, and lost out to the Reds in the race to secure his services in the summer.
However, with Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge having been in such sublime form so far this season, the former Celta Vigo man has hardly had a look in in Brendan Rodgers’ side, and so may be allowed to leave on a temporary basis in January.
The 26 year old has struggled so far on Merseyside, failing to score in any of his seven appearances for the club, even leading to a potential return to Spain being discussed.
In the continued absence of Sturridge, Aspas is expected to be in the squad for Saturday’s visit of Cardiff City, and can be backed at 11/8 to score at any time.
