Middlesbrough are considering handing a contract to Duncan Watmore, according to TEAMtalk. It has been reported that the former Sunderland winger has been training with the Boro first team and has done well on trial.
Watmore is a free agent at the moment following his departure from League One club Sunderland in the summer. The 26-year-old winger is keen on securing a deal with Boro, with the Championship club’s manager Neil Warnock also interested in having him in his squad.
Middlesbrough are aiming to clinch promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season and are doing quite well at the moment. Boro are currently fifth in the table with 16 points from nine matches, two points behind second-placed Swansea City and six points behind leaders Reading.
