Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has told the club to get a deal for Real Madrid attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard done now, according to Mundo Deportivo (print edition, page 14, August 10, 2021).
Madrid are willing to sell Odegaard for €50 million (£42.32m), and Arsenal manager Arteta wants him back. The 22-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at the Gunners from the Spanish and European giants.
The Norway international attacking midfielder scored one goal and gave two assists in nine Premier League starts for Arsenal during his loan spell. The 22-year-old also scored one goal in six Europa League appearances for the Gunners. It will be interesting to see what happens with Odegaard. Carlo Ancelotti is the new manager of Madrid now, and the Spaniard could make use of the Norway international attacking midfielder.
