Mikel linked with China switch

Chelsea midfielder John Obi-Mikel could be set to seal a move to the Chinese Super League this summer, according to the Express.

A number of players have been targeted by the newly wealthy Asian division in recent months, with Mikel’s former Blues’ teammate Ramires one of a number of big name players now plying their trade there.

Mikel is currently in his tenth season at Stamford Bridge, making him the club’s second longest serving player behind captain John Terry.

Since signing from Norwegian side Lyn, the Nigeria international has racked up over three hundred and fifty appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals and has won a whole host of major honours including two Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two League Cups, the Europa League and the Champions League.

He has been capped sixty-four times for his country, scoring four goals and played at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
