Daily Express is reporting that Galatasaray is in talks with Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel over a move to Istanbul.
The Nigeria international is close to agreeing a four-year deal with the Turkish giants worth around £13 million, but the Blues’ asking price could prove to be a problem.
Chelsea are holding out for £16 million, which is the same amount they paid for the player seven years back.
The Turkish giants are keen to add another high-profile player to their star-studded squad, but it remains to be seen if they can reach an agreement with the Stamford Bridge outfit.
John Obi Mikel is not in the first team plans of new boss Jose Mourinho and he will be allowed to leave if the right offer comes along.
The 26-year-old has made a total of 182 Premier League appearances for Chelsea, without scoring a single goal, while he has also failed to register a goal in other competitions for the Blues.
