London Evening Standard has learned that Inter Milan are closing in on Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel.
It is no secret the Nerazzurri are on the lookout for a new holding midfielder and the Nigerian appears to be high on their hit list.
According to London Evening Standard, Inter Milan are ready to offer more than £10 million for the highly rated footballer and are working towards luring Mikel to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
The Nigerian midfielder is likely to be offloaded by Chelsea in the summer, having fallen behind Nemanja Matic, Ramires and David Luiz in the pecking order.
Mikel, 26, has only started two fixtures for the Blues since the turn of the year, which is enough to suggest he is no longer in the first team plans of Jose Mourinho.
The Nigeria international has been at the club since the summer of 2006 and has amassed a total of 203 Premier League appearances.
