AC Milan and Chelsea are currently in talks over a potential second move of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Stamford Bridge to San Siro, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Chelsea had already sent the defensive midfielder to Milan on a season-long loan in 2018. Having played for the Rossoneri 42 times in all competitions, he returned to London only to take another step back and join his former club AS Monako in another temporary deal. The 25-year-old is now at Chelsea again, where his contract doesn’t end for two more years, but it’s quite clear that he has no place in Frank Lampard’s plans.
Milan apparently plan to take advantage of the situation, and to that end they’re preparing an offer of another year’s loan, for which they would pay Chelsea a fee of €3 million and have the option of making the deal permanent next summer for €35m. As for Bakayoko himself, he is in favour of the move.
