La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that AC Milan and Fiorentina are locked in the battle for Genoa midfielder Andrea Bertolacci.
The central midfielder has made tremendous progress over the last couple of years and he is now widely tipped to leave Stadio Luigi Ferraris for greener pastures.
Bertolacci made his Italy debut last November and was recently in the starting line-up as the Azzurri shared spoils with Bulgaria in a Euro 2016 qualifier.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan lead the chase for his signature, with vice-president Adriano Galliani already informing Genoa chairman Enrico Preziosi of his interest.
And even though the 24-year-old is still co-owned with Roma, the Rossoblu are expected to purchase the remaining half of the player’s contract before cashing in on his services.
Meanwhile, Fiorentina have also been showing interest in the player who managed 2 goals and 6 assists in 25 Serie A outings this season.
