AC Milan and AS Roma are interested in signing Dejan Lovren from Liverpool, according to Liverpool Echo.
The two Serie A clubs have already expressed their desire to Liverpool, and some talks have been already held, but they are still at a very early stage. However, the transfer window in Italy doesn’t close before August 23, which still leaves plenty of time to make something happen.
The Croatia international has been linked with Milan earlier during the transfer window, but Liverpool were adamant that they wanted to keep the experienced central defender. Meanwhile, Lovren has fallen down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp all the way to being the fourth choice in the hear of defence, behind Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, but the German may decide to shut the door and prevent his exit nonetheless, as he aims to build on his team’s Champions League success and fight on several fronts this season.
