AC Milan have reached an agreement with Sampdoria to sign midfielder Andrea Poli, reports Tuttosport.
With Mathieu Flamini and Massimo Ambrosini both leaving the club, the Rossoneri were desperate to reinforce their midfield department.
According to Tuttosport, Italy international Andrea Poli is set to become the first high-profile signing of the summer transfer window.
The same source claims the two clubs have already reached an agreement over the transfer fee, with several Milan youngsters set to join Sampdoria on co-ownership deals.
Andrea Poli began his professional career at Treviso, but left the club for Sampdoria after making just four league appearances.
He has since been featuring for the Doriani, although he did enjoy loan spells with Sassuolo and Inter Milan.
Poli, who has already earned three Italy caps, is widely regarded as one of the most talented midfielders in Serie A and is tipped to prove his worth at San Siro.
