Il Corriere dello Sport understands that AC Milan are preparing a fresh assault on Vasco da Gama defender Dede.
The long search for the natural successor to Thiago Silva seems to be over as the Rossoneri are convinced the Brazilian stopper has what it takes to replace the now PSG captain.
Last month, Milan officials opened initial talks with the Brazilian club and they are now ready to wrap up the deal for the talented defender.
The San Siro outfit are prepared to offer €12 million for Dede, and they hope to close the deal in the coming weeks even if his current employers are holding out for €15 million.
Vasco da Gama chiefs recently admitted they might have to sell their prized asset in the summer, and all that’s left is for them to reach an agreement over a transfer fee with Milan.
The Rossoneri are eager to complete the transfer as soon as possible seeing that Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are also keen.
