Uruguay centre-back Martin Caceres is set to join Serie A fallen giants AC Milan as the former Juventus defender has already agreed on personal details with the Italian club and is due to have a medical on Friday.
Martin Caceres has been negotiating a deal with Sam Allardyce, but is believed to have rejected a chance to join Crystal Palace in favour on a move to Rossoneri, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Uruguay international has been a free agent ever since his departure from Juventus last summer and a Milan move could offer a lifeline for the 29-year-old who has thus far played for Barcelona, Villarreal and Sevilla.
Having gone through a number of injury issues in recent seasons, Caceres is hoping a deal with Milan will be beneficial for both sides involved in a deal.
Rossoneri, on their own part, are having somewhat of an injury crisis with Mattia De Sciglio and Davide Calabria on the sidelines, and Milan are believed to be prompting a deal with former Juventus defender.
