Milan closing in on Santos hotshot

Santos highly rated midfielder Ganso is nearing a switch to Milan, according to Tuttosport.

The 21-year-old playmaker has been linked with both Milan and Inter in the past, but it looks as though the Rossoneri are leading the race for his signature.

With Clarence Seedorf’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, the Rossoneri are looking for his replacement and they see the young Brazilian as the perfect addition to the squad.

Milan have reportedly scheduled a meeting with the player’s agent Thiago Ferro later this month and they look to be on the verge of signing the young midfielder.

Santos have offered Ganso a new deal until 2015 as they are desperate to keep hold of their most prized asset.

However, the 21-year-old is unlikely to accept a new deal as he is thought to be keen on a move to Europe.
