Both Inter Milan and AC Milan are linked with a move for Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian, who is said to be holding out for a return to Italy.
Gazzetta dello Sport argues that Darmian is one of the key defensive targets for Nerazzurri in their attempt to revamp the squad this summer.
On the other side, AC Milan have decided to join the race for Manchester United defender after it was announced that Mattia De Sciglio is set to leave Rossoneri at the end of the season.
Matteo Darmian started his professional career with AC Milan back in 2006, but made only 4 Serie A appearances during his four-year stay with Rossoneri, but AC Milan’s sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli is reportedly keen to bring Darmian back to the club.
Both Milan clubs are expected to invest significant amount of money during summer backed by their new owners who are ready to splash out in order to help Inter Milan and AC Mila bring back the glory days.
