Serie A giants AC Milan have all but confirmed their interest in Santos striker Gabriel Barbosa.
The Rossoneri were linked with a move for the 18-year-old forward and they now have a perfect opportunity to lure him to San Siro.
Namely, Santos aim to turn Robinho’s loan move into permanent deal, and AC Milan plan to take advantage of the negotiations to recruit Gabriel Barbosa.
The Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani is now looking to find the best solution for all the parties concerned.
“I know that Robinho wants to stay in Brazil,” Galliani confessed to Lancenet. “We want to find a good solution for him, let’s see what happens.
“Gabigol? Let’s see, I’m aware of the player, but we’ll have to see.”
Despite his fragile age, Gabriel Barbosa already has plenty of first team experience, having so far made 73 league appearances for the Brazilian giants.
The youngster has scored a total of 19 goals in 49 starts and he is predicted a bright future in the game.
Barbosa represented Brazil at the Under-20 South American Championship in Uruguay, but could only score one goal in seven appearances.
