Milan consider selling star trio

Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested that AC Milan could decide to offload three first team regulars in the summer transfer window.

The Rossoneri have yet to learn whether Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol will buy a stake in the club, but if the proposed takeover falls through, owner Silvio Berlusconi will try and build a squad almost entirely consisting of Italian players.

As a result, Milan could place the likes of Jeremy Menez, Keisuke Honda and Diego Lopez on the transfer list as they hope to raise around €20 million this way.

It remains to be seen how the proposed changes will go down with the club fans, but they are unlikely to be impressed if top two goalscorers are sold in the summer.

Milan have enjoyed a thoroughly disappointing season under Pippo Inzaghi, although they did defeat AS Roma at the weekend to climb out of the bottom half.
